Hire a DP, HD Engineer, and the entire Camera Department

After spending time and money hiring Directors of Photography for projects we were working on and ending up with someone whose actual prior experience was taking stills of their nephew’s bar mitzvah, we decided to grow our own D.P.’s internally.
Hiring a Production Boys’ Director of Photography will translate into your project getting completed the way you envisioned it – within the agreed upon budget and with no ego.
D.P.’s are just like any of us, we are always worrying about or next gig, and, they will often times take lower paying jobs if they can supplement their reel with some cool shot or sequence.
Next time you are on-set and your D.P. says, “I know money’s running out, but this movie will be a piece of shit if you don’t let me get this crane shot through-the-apartment-window.”, you’ll know why. Having said that, we will not take any job. If you come to us with unrealistic expectations, we will not be dishonest and take the job. We don’t need the money that bad.
For example, if you come to us with a short you want to make for the upcoming festival circuit, and you say you have $3,500 to spend and you want to do a parody of “Shoot “Em Up”, with lots of gun work and stunts. This isn’t realistic, and we’ll tell you so.
Not all jobs are for all people, and we’ll try to make it work up-front, ensuring we can meet your expectations within the budget and schedule you have planned. We do specialize in working with very low budgets, and often times that simply means you have to make concessions, and become more creative to get your point across.
We have experience with everything from HDV to 4k RED HD and everything from 8mm to 35mm. Whatever format you have chosen for your project, we can find a team to get your project shot beautifully and on budget.
Give us a call, and we’ll see what we can do for you. Hire a Production Boys’ D.P., and get the job done.
